More Waiting

I received this email this afternoon from our caseworker.

Dear Ethiopia families:

Late afternoon yesterday, as anticipated, the
Ethiopia team released news that the wait time for a referral is increasing to
3-5 months. WHFC tends to be conservative with their wait times, but we
currently have families on the list who have waited over 3 months. Those
families waiting to receive referral of an older child may be on the shorter end
of the wait period, while those waiting for infants are expected to wait up to 5
months.

Although this increased wait may be difficult, it is best to keep in
mind that Ethiopia still remains one of the quickest programs. This increase
also reflects the positive growth of the program and the joy that more children
are coming home to their forever families!

Well, now you know... sorry, though. It must be so frustrating!

Dizzy sympathizes, since he has no concept at all of delayed gratification.
