Sunday
I think I mentioned yesterday that we had to go to the market and get formula for Abe. Well, it has not set well with his tummy. He had diarrhea about every hour and a half last night. Of course we didn't sleep much either. He won't take a bottle of just water and we can't give him milk -- he may be lactose intolerant, and that would just make things worse (or would it?). In a seemingly unrelated illness, Steve had a fever and the chills last night too. He is doing much better today. Our hotel room is like a den of illness.
We can't wait to come home. It's raining again and we had to cancel our trip to the museum because Steve and Abe aren't well. We have been sitting around for most of the day talking about whether Leather Tuscadaro (sp?) was in the episode where Fonzie was in the demolition derby. There is an ESPN here but it is only showing the X Games so we have discussed the perfect body type for a motorcross biker. It is getting desperate. Our other channels include the Hallmark Channel which was starting a new movie tonight starring Mary Tyler Moore, CNN International which runs the same news over and over (Yes, we know Floyd Landis tested positive, move on) and an Italian channel and a German channel. Steve started to discuss with me the pros and cons of an LLC vs. an S Corp and I almost had a stroke trying to wrap my brain around something substantive. I am actually looking forward to the TV on KLM.
We were invited by another adoptive couple to the Sheraton tonight for dinner at the steak house there (YUM!) but because of the sicknesses we had to decline. We couldn't risk getting their 2 year old and 4 year old sick before our flight tomorrow.
We are all packed even though our flight doesn't leave here until 11 p.m. tomorrow. We have to be at the airport by 8, so we are hoping that Abe will sleep for the first flight. We arrive in Amsterdam around 6:45 a.m. and have three hours before the flight to Newark.
