Visa Approved!

The news we have been waiting for! We received our notice of favorable determination from US Citizen and Immigration Services. To quote the paperwork,"It has been determined that you are able to furnish proper care to an orphan or orphans. . ." How nice that the government approves.

All of my sarcasm aside, it's wonderful news! It means that we are now eligible for a referral. Our agency tells us that a referral should happen within 1-3 months, although the anecdotal evidence I hear from others is more like 5-6 weeks at most. I will post more when I hear more.
